The Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (PDSCP)

The Pan-Dorset Safeguarding Children’s Partnership (PDSCP) currently covers both the Local Authority areas of Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole and Dorset. The BCP area is particularly interested in extending its pool of individuals who could undertake Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews (CSPRS) and specific scrutiny activity.

The scrutiny activity is likely to be linked to our priorities that includes: Violence experienced by children and young people including domestic abuse, physical violence and knife crime, children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing or neglect. Another area of scrutiny may relate to specific functions of the partnership. Each piece of scrutiny activity will be different but may include: auditing, reviewing policies, procedures and guidance and obtaining the views of practitioners and children and families.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of undertaking CSPRs and producing reports of a high quality and have an excellent understanding of safeguarding and multi-agency working.

We do recognise that individual’s ability to undertake work will depend on availability but if you are interested in being part of the pool please send your CVs to [email protected] and if you want any more information please contact Laurence Doe, the PDSCP Business Manager on 01305 221350 or [email protected]. ‘
